[As reassuring as it is to be told that gender stereotypes have been broken by the twenty-first century, Philip's less-than-enthusiastic delivery of the "good news" leaves much to be desired. Knowing is splendid and all, but she's still from 1926 and things won't have changed by the time she returns to her year.]

If I didn't know any better, Philip, [Evelyn treads cautiously.] I'd say you almost sound sad.

Dwelling on societal drawbacks is hardly festive fare, though...how are you doing? With your arm, and...and your eye?
